This paper describes the development of a knuckle walking mode of locomotion by a free-living yellow baboon (Papio cynocephalus). Some implications of this occurrence for theories of the evolution of knuckle walking are discussed.

The genomic sequence of this virus indicates the probable need for the establishment of a second kunsagivirus species.
